For Spanish Class we went to the Children's Museum since our last presentation is going to be on different exhibits. Mine is on banana's and transportation of banana's in Costa Rica. We were paired up with someone from the other class to do them so that we would need to collaborate. The Children's Museum itself was interesting because it used to be an old prison. Much later after the prison was closed then reconstructed and fixed the building up to use as the Children's Museum. It was a huge structure bright yellow and even looked like a castle. Walking through the entrance on either side there are pictures of what the prison looked like before it was a museum and the transformation is amazing.
The Children's Museum was so cool! I felt like I was 5 years old again and having an awesome time. The museum was so interactive and ranged from space exhibits, information about the human body, egyptian culture, archeology and coffee production, to history and ones about recycling. My favorite exhibit was the one that tried to trick your mind and body by having rooms made at all different angles. Walking around in the odd shaped rooms messed with my mind. Gravity felt like it was pulling down on me much harder in certain spots than others. The walls and ceilings were painted different colors and it really was interesting at how confused my mind was.
That day I learned a lot of new facts I never knew before and I enjoyed being a kid again. There was also a ton of staff available in each exhibit to help out. Most of them were multilingual so it is no problem whether you speak Spanish, English, or another language. I'd suggest that no matter what age you are to go to the museum because you are bound to feel like a little kid again and have a great time.
